    Fantastic!

This was a Christmas present for my teenage train-loving son. The directions were a little complicated at the beginning but worth it because the intricate directions make for a great game.

I.Love.This.Game! Playing it brings back memories of all adventures I've had on the CTA. Everyone I've played with always wants to play back to back games

Fun game even with just two people

Posted by Cara on 20th Dec 2019

My husband and I opened the game the same day it came in and excitedly sat down to play. The rules were fairly easy to understand and we were able to finish three games in one hour with just the two of us playing. I do think it would be more fun with more people, since part of the strategy of the game is closing down stations and with only two people you can't close very many. I also think you could probably hand out more station cards if there are fewer people playing - that would keep the game more interesting and have it last a little longer. Overall, a very well made and thought out game.

    Great game!

I’ve not played it yet - I bought it as a gift! I’m sure it will be great. I’m an old lady now, (69) but I was born and raised in Chicago. I lived North Side, South Side, and Hyde Park and loved them all. This game was a great idea! Thank you. I grew up in Chicago at a time that even kids could travel the city on the El - and we could travel alone. I can’t wait to play the game!

    Lots of fun

We've had a great timing playing this game. Having recently moved away from Chicago, it's a fun reminder of our days on the El.

    Great for students taking CTA

Posted by Jino on 16th Dec 2019

This game would be great for students of Chicago universities. It helps in learning the different stops and not just being dependent on Google Maps. The quality of the parts are good quality. Only negative might be how the edges of the cards feel when I shuffle, but even that isn't a big deal by any means. Everything else is great. Fun game to play, especially if you enjoy Ticket to Ride.

    Great Fun

Posted by Julie on 16th Dec 2019

This game is great fun for people semi familiar with Chicago's CTA system. It's pretty accurate and it's fun to see what you are actually visiting at each stop. Will be playing often.

    Great game!

Posted by Greg on 15th Dec 2019

After 20 years in Chicago, my wife and I recently relocated to Utah. When I saw the EL game was coming I preordered right away. The directions were a bit confusing at first, but all of our questions were answered once we started playing. We had a great time and can't wait to introduce our new friends to the game.

    El Game

Posted by SRG on 11th Dec 2019

My 15 year old grandson is a board game fanatic. He coerced me into purchasing the El game as a Hanukkah gift for him. It was delivered in the evening and I texted my grandson of it's arrival. The following afternoon, he showed up pleading with me to open the game and play with him. What was a grandmother to do? Of course, we did and we loved it. He takes the Blue Line to school during the week. I haven't been on public transportation for 50 years, favoring my sporty wheels, but in playing the game it all came back to me. He is coming this afternoon after school for a rematch -- I beat him first time around.
