Looking for a challenge? Our Neon Neighborhood Map of Chicago is now available as a 1000 piece puzzle! There's no better way to learn about the layout of the city than to assemble the map yourself! This is the perfect gift for the whole family to share and enjoy together. The text at the bottom of the puzzle reads: "The City of Chicago is comprised of 77 Community Areas, which are further divided into smaller neighborhoods. This is a complete map of the neighborhoods, parks, airports, cemeteries, forest preserves, and industrial areas that together make up the city, a total of 240 distinct areas."
Finished puzzle measures 19.25" x 26.25". Printed in the USA on high quality 69 pt. chipboard. Now including a 9.5" x 13.25" guide poster!
Designed by Transit Tees in Chicago's Wicker Park neighborhood.
This puzzle was very fun to put together, and tested (as well as built on) my knowledge of the different neighborhoods and areas around the city. The design is really fun, with a lot of differentiation between the different areas, so those parts are fun and fairly easy to put together. As Jessica said there are a few hundred black with gray grid-line pieces which were a bit of a pain to put together at the end (a lot of trying every piece at the end), and the images on the box could be more help. I went to the map on this website, which worked pretty well.
This puzzle was a ton of fun and I enjoyed it more than the average puzzle! Seeing the different neighborhoods each with their individual design sparked a lot of curiosity about Chicago's history and the diverse neighborhoods that make up the city. Much more interesting than the typical pretty picture puzzles!
This is a challenging puzzle! But it's so engaging and fun. A wonderful depiction of Chicago neighborhoods.
This is an awesome puzzle and I love love love Transit Tees. My only complaints about this puzzle are that I wish there was a guide/poster that came with this puzzle as the back of the box is very hard to read. There are also a ton of plain black pieces. I wish the map of the neighborhoods was bigger so I could actually read the neighborhoods and less black pieces. Still a great puzzle though and fun to do as a Chicagoan. I've glued the finished piece together and look forward to hanging this in a frame on my wall. Will be purchasing their other puzzle too!
I’ve always loved puzzles and this is by far one of my favorite ever! Being from Chicago, it was so fun to put the map together. Hoping Transit Tees keeps making puzzles! :)
