Chance the Snapper, Chicago's visiting five-foot alligator spent one whole week evading experts, iding out in the Humboldt Park Lagoon. He scared waterfowl, chased fish, and captivated those who brought their binoculars in hope of catching a glimpse. A Florida alligator expert was flown into Chicago to aid in Chance's safe recovery. After a long and tense search, Chance the Snapper was safely rescued and transferred to an alligator sanctuary.
